Compliments are free. (My dad always says that)
I have a wise friend who says this every day to her daughter as she walks out the door…
“Give someone a compliment today.”
I LOVE IT,
so I’m taking it and making it ours too.
I’d like our little guy to see and hear this while he is growing up, {and us}.
This print will be hung in our new home.
I’m thinking…right near the bathroom.
{Everyone goes there alot right?}

The other week, we were on the way back from the Goldcoast,
and my friend,
(the one who says “don’t forget to give someone a compliment today” to her daughter as she leaves the house)
told me this…
“You’ll never guess what just happened” she said….
I just went to get a coffee for us,
and as I began to pay for it, the lady said…
“This one’s on the house, the gentleman before you left a “pay it forward” cup.”
Do you know what she did then….?
She said,
“Pay mine forward too.”
Doesn’t that make you smile?
Just proves…what goes around comes around.
This time last week I was sipping wine on the Clarence with the folks right about now.
It was just perfect.
I can’t wait to show you some new pieces in my Yamba Scandi Collection inspired by their trip.
We are out on the water again this weekend, celebrating fathers day here in OZ,
we’ll be remembering all the dads and having a cheers for the guys who can’t be with us too,
plus raising a glass to the birthday boy and girls. Happy birthday guys! {It’s birthday season in our family}

PS: Our house update… we’ve got a garage door now.
And the architraves and doors are on.
See those boxes, they are headed for the bathroom one day, very exciting stuff.
The kitchen is planned for installation Monday, I can’t wait to show you that.
And the painters are also due to paint the render, Shale Grey will be the main colour with accents of Windspray on the pillars, cladding and garage door.

Paying compliments is one of my favourite things to do – there’s no better feeling that seeing a smile on someone’s face and knowing you put it there. Plus smiling burns calories so you can get a workout and pay compliments at the same time! Winning! Love those prints and the sentiment behind them and the house is totally coming together! Exciting times! xx
