It’s not my favourite thing…
doing laundry.
Recently,
and she said politely…
“I notice you wash all your clothes together?
You know…
They will never be as white as they were yesterday?”
Then we went and had a fabulous lunch of prawns and a drop of wine.
A few days later that comment was still in my head.
Of course she is right.
We were being lazy…
{did I mention I don’t like washing?}
Life got to busy and we stopped doing something we used to do.
When she left,
I made a new rule.
Finally.
I said to the boys…
“From now on we have to…
Always wash the whites separately.”
So I made a new printable.
I’m going to hang this in our new laundry.
To remind us to break that old habit.
And next time I’m washing the whites and I see this on the wall.
I’ll remember…
“They will never be as white as they were yesterday,” if I don’t,
and the day mum and I ate prawns on the river.
You can download the free laundry printable by clicking the image below.
And frame it in white or black, or choose your own colour frame.
Or
Why not pin it for later?
I think this laundry quote, will give the laundry a bit of pizzaz, and tie in with our Yamba Scandi Theme, I can’t wait to show you it hanging up there.
Do you love doing the laundry? Or do you just try to get it done as fast as possible like me?
Have a great weekend guys.

Oh that is awesome, you are too funny, I love that idea. Happy weekend lovely x
Oh my goodness laundry consumes my house!! One way around this is never buy white things!!

Yep, that is true, I totally use that rule for ironing, not many things get ironed in my house because I buy things that don’t need it.
I do love white linen though, so I’m going to be making sure we wash the whites separately from now on.
Happy weekend. X
I totally need this printable. I always wash everything together and then feel sad that I have grey clothes!! x

Yep… I think that is the way to go, if you make it easy for yourself and others it will so get done, and then we can get out of there quick sticks! X
I love your printables, but especially I love the story that goes with each of them! The house is looking totally ace. Not long now!

Love your printable Sarah! Do you mind if I hang in my laundry too? It’s the kind of reminder I need. Thankyou for popping over to Interiors Addict too – you are a sweet!
I’m lazy, I don’t do a whites only load :/

Gorgeous printable. After a certain red sock incident we wash our whites separately, mainly because I don’t really like pink…
What a great memory to have of your mum, while doing the washing. xx

I know, I think it’s beautiful for a chore that has to be done, but not my favourite thing to do. X
We’re currently trying to renovate our laundry into a more user-friendly space. (ie I hope that once it’s renovated, I’ll be more motivated to use it.) I never separate. And I know I should. Will have to print this off as a good-looking reminder. Hope you’re enjoying using your fresh, new laundry room!

I was just like you before my mum said that, and I do think once a room is renovated or made to work with you, it really does inspire you to use it properly.
We move in this weekend, I can’t wait to get that room set up. x
