The other week I was asked, “What’s your why?”
I’ve always wanted to create a letter print, but it needed to have meaning behind it.
So here it is…
The “Y” print.
It’s a series of four prints and you can download one for free too.
…Kinda like a reminder to ask yourself… why?
(And it’s also very Scandinavian inspired)
My “Y” is…
Family and friends.
Being happy and making others happy.
Being the best mum and wife I can be.
Creating stuff.
Doing what I love.
Making a house a home.
Slowing down to enjoy the little things.
Telling stories, (even if my grammar is sometimes terrible).
Believing in myself and dreaming bigger.
and
You. (yes, you reading this, you inspire me to keep creating and telling stories, thank you so much)
Just this morning I received a beautiful email from one of my lovely readers, saying how my stories remind her of her own memories and she wished me a lovely weekend….just made my day even better, thank you. x)
Here’s another story for my “Y”…
Yesterday, as I was travelling back into Yamba,
past sugarcane fields,
and sparkling waterways.
Driving home.
I found myself, with tears rolling down my cheeks.
You see,
today,
my folks come to visit for the first time since we moved here,
and we are all so excited to see them.
I can’t wait to hug them tight,
and show them where we live and who we’ve met.
And the home we are making.
To eat and drink with them.
Listen to stories and to stop and enjoy every minute.
(I know we are so lucky and I am so grateful).
That hug we get will not only be from them, but all the people that have touched their lives and are now part of ours. {Especially one of my favourites Tom, whose birthday is coming up soon.}
Right about now,
they will be driving through the cane,
past those waterways,
perhaps seeing a lone fisherman dropping in a line,
and they’ll be coming to our house.
In Yamba.
My “Y” today…
is the day my folks came to town.
(because they are the reason behind our family and friends)
Oh, and also “Y” didn’t I vacuum last night? lol!
I want to say thank you for following my story and sending me beautiful emails and leaving lovely comments, (they make my day).
You can click on the pic above to download your FREE “Y” printable.
Then print out and frame them for your home…
Or purchase The Y print from my shop here
so you can remember your “Y” too.
Oh, and if I didn’t mention it before.
Welcome to our family. x
So what’s your “Y”?
Have a wonderful weekend guys.

Have a fabulous day yourself. x
Your beautiful, beautiful Ys – both from the heart and designed. My ‘Y’ changes daily, just like yours, but the constant Y in my life has always been to find out what happens next. x

You are just too gorgeous for words, I just love your “Y”… to find out what happens next, such an exciting adventure this life isn’t it? The good (so exciting) and the bad (only makes you stronger). Always lovely to see you over here in my little space. x
I’m going to print a set of these for my desk and ask myself “why not?” I’ve been a bit paralysed with doubt of late, so I need to ask myself “why not?!” Thanks for a gorgeous post xx
I’m so happy to read this comment and I truly hope it inspires you to dream bigger and ask yourself… why not? Never doubt yourself…nothing is impossible if you really want it. x
